Ébron Trail: the ideal introduction to mid-mountain trail running

The Ébron Trail is the ideal race to discover and get started with the pleasures of mid-mountain trail running. Moreover, it suits a wide range of runners. So, you try trail running on a short course, yet with real thrills!

From the lake to the Brion Bridge

First, you run along the lake. Then you cross the Ébron footbridge, one of the lake’s Himalayan-style footbridges. Quickly, you reach the Brion Bridge, a listed monument. These two crossings already offer a great moment of discovery.

Towards Maissenas and the slopes of Côte Rouge

From there, you climb a fine ramp to the hamlet of Maissenas. This effort pays off: indeed, you enjoy superb views of the lake and of the Sénépi on the opposite shore. You admire this panorama from the slopes of Côte Rouge.

A descent to Treffort beach

Next, you pass through the hamlets of Le Puy and La Roche. Finally, you start the final descent to the Treffort beach, where the finish line awaits.

The natural spaces we are working on and the people who are taking care of those lands and territories, which you will be crossing for the race, are factors we do not control 100%. Therefore, we sometimes have to make changes to our different routes, which can slightly modify the distance and/or the altitude difference. This distance and altitude difference is therefore given as an indication.

REFRESHMENT STATION	– km 8 (Hameau de Maissenas) – Arrival We remind you that we will not give you glasses on refreshment stations (during the race and at the finish line). You need to have your personal glass.
FINISH LINE CLOSURE	– At the refreshment station at Hameau de Maissenas (km 8) at 7:00 am – At the arrival at 9:00 pm
COLLECTION BIBS	– Friday 9 July: in Treffort (Nautical base) from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm – Saturday 10 July: in Treffort (Nautical base) from 7:00 am to 4:45 pm
REGISTRATION FEES	– 25€ for the first 100 registrants – 30€ for the next 100 registrants – 36€ for the remaining bibs
AGE REQUIRMENT	To be born in 2009 or before
PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY	In Treffort (Nautical base) at 7:45 pm on Saturday 10 July
EQUIPMENT	– Mandatory equipment: personnal cup + 0,5L tank of water + survival blanket + fully charged cell phone – Recommended equipment: food supply + whistle + waterproof jacket – Tolerated equipment: telescopic poles (must be folded at the departure)
LABEL	The Trail de l’Ébron is part of several labels: – ITRA: The Trail de l’Ébron will allow you to obtain a score that will be used in the calcul of your ITRA index. – UTMB Qualifier: The race is part of the UTMB Qualifier 20 km category.
