Trail de Côte Rouge

The Trail de Côte Rouge is one of the steps in the National Trail Challenge for 2024 in the Short (High Mountain) format.

Côte Rouge trail running is the opportunity to discover the joys of trail running for regular runners or to reach another stage for those who have ran a discovery trail and are willing to improve.

The departure and arrival are situated on the lakeside at the nautical base in Treffort. Once you have run along the lake, you will cross the footbridge of Ebron, then quickly cross the footbridge of Brion. From there, you will reach the first ramp that will lead you to Maissenas Village, then you will enjoy beautiful views over the lake and Sénépi, situated on the otherside from the mountainside of Côte rouge. Then, you will head to the second ramp to reach the orientation table of Côte Rouge, which is the exclusivity of this race in 2018! From there, you will run down to the village of Monestier-de-Clermont, where you will be welcomed by the festive village and its inhabitants!  Finally, you will reach the last uphill, before the final downhill to the beach of Treffort where the finish line is.

The natural spaces we are working on and the people who are taking care of those lands and territories, which you will be crossing for the race, are factors we do not control 100%. Therefore, we sometimes have to make changes to our different routes, which can slightly modify the distance and/or the altitude difference. This distance and altitude difference is therefore given as an indication.
