Côte Rouge Trail: between lake, bridges and panoramas

The Côte Rouge Trail takes you from the shores of Lake Treffort up to a superb viewpoint. Along the way, you cross a footbridge and a listed bridge. Then you run through a village in festive mood. So, this course brings together all the charm of mid-mountain trail running.

From Lake Treffort to Côte Rouge

First, the race starts by the lake, at the Treffort water sports centre. After running along the lake, you cross the Ébron footbridge. Quickly, you reach the Brion Bridge, a listed monument.

Then you climb a first ramp to the hamlet of Maissenas. There, you enjoy superb views of the lake and of the Sénépi on the opposite shore. Next, you tackle the second ramp up to the Côte Rouge viewpoint indicator!

A festive finish

From there, you run down to the village of Monestier-de-Clermont. The village is in festive mood, and many villagers welcome you. Finally, a few last bumps precede the final descent to the Treffort beach, where the finish line awaits.

The natural spaces we are working on and the people who are taking care of those lands and territories, which you will be crossing for the race, are factors we do not control 100%. Therefore, we sometimes have to make changes to our different routes, which can slightly modify the distance and/or the altitude difference. This distance and altitude difference is therefore given as an indication.

TIME AND DEPARTURE	Departure will be splitted into 2 waves: 9:00 am and 9:15 am in Treffort (Nautical Base) on Saturday 10 July 2027

REFRESHMENT STATION	– km 8 (Hameau de Maissenas) – km 16,5 (Monestier-de-Clermont) – km 23 (Tiraillère) – water point only – Arrival We remind you that we will not give you glasses on refreshment stations (during the race and at the finish line). You need to have your personal glass.
FINISH LINE CLOSURE	– At the refreshment station at Hameau de Maissenas (km 8) at 10:15 am – Diversion barrier at Col de la Sée (km 14) at 11:30 am – At the refreshment station at Monestier-de-Clermont (km 16,5) at 11:45 am – At the Arrival at 2:00 pm
COLLECTION BIBS	– Friday 9 July: in Treffort (Nautical base) from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm – Saturday 10 July: in Treffort (Nautical base) from 7:00 am to 9:00 am
REGISTRATION FEES	– 38€ for the first 100 registrants – 46€ for the next 100 registrants – 54€ for the remaining bibs
AGE REQUIRMENT	To be born in 2007 or before
PRIZE GIVING CEREMONY	In Treffort (Nautical base) at 1:00 pm on Saturday 10 July
EQUIPMENT	– Mandatory equipment: personnal cup + 0,5L tank of water + survival blanket + fully charged cell phone – Recommended equipment: food supply + whistle + waterproof jacket – Tolerated equipment: telescopic poles (must be folded at the departure)
